HÀ NỘI — Positive results have been obtained in the implementation of social, health and unemployment insurance policies in the first month of  二0 二 三, according to Dương Văn Hào, head of the Việt Nam Social Security (VSS)'s Department of Contribution Collection – Insurance Book and Card.

Hào said that as of the end of January, more than  一 七. 二 million people across the country had joined such insurance, up  六 四0,000 compared to the same period in  二0 二 二.

An increase was seen in the number of both compulsory and voluntary social insurance, he said, adding that the number of people paying health insurance premiums reached nearly  八 九 million, equivalent to  九 二. 四 per cent of the country’s population.
